Freebies

Look what I got?! And it was for a whopping $3.13. And that was only the shipping and handling!

Something I've learned from this world of blogging...you can find so many giveaways and freebies, coupons and discounts. I just love it! I have never heard of this line before, but while reading Money Saving Mom, I stumbled upon this post. So...I thought I would give it a try! It even arrived in like 3 business days! I love getting packages FAST! There are also so many other tips and coupon alerts on there...they gain money some of the times! I haven't tried the make up yet, but I will give feedback once I do.

Check it out

While browsing the internet I came across THIS site. You have to go look! Not to mention there are funny stories/captions under each. Here are a few...I tell you, hysterical!

This was cute, it is from a bf to his gf or something like that. Smart guy...who wouldn't love a little sugar filled cake?!

Okay, this is hysterical but raunchy...who asked for a cake like this?!
Can you say creepy?!
The title for this picture was 'divorce cake'!

Some good looking recipes

This is mostly for my own good, but I suppose you all can benefit from it too! Have you ever been to Pimp My Dinner (it's a blog)? Well if not, you should visit! I have been browsing through saving recipes that I can print and bring home - you know possibilities for dinners. I always do this and then stash the paper recipe in a drawer, never to be taken out again.

So, instead of wasting paper, I'm going to link to the ones that I like and want to try out. All for my own future knowledge (and saving of the trees! ha!). Feel free to click on the named recipe below. It'll bring you right to the page.

Taco Soup
Classic Chicken Salad
Steak Marinade - 'cause we've been looking for a good one
Corn Salsa
Lovely Creamy Chicken Soup
Big Batch Vegetable Soup
Sticky Caramel Corn - mmm...homemade caramel corn?!
Carrot Stew - as the recipe states: sounds gross, looks gross but tastes great, it's worth a shot!
You-have-all-the-ingredients-truffles
Hummus
Chicken Fajitas - even better...in the crockpot...yay!

*another cool thing I learned from this blog (yet never remember to use) is, when you are cutting brownies, use a plastic knife and the brownies will NEVER stick to the knife! Pretty neat, huh?!

Bits & Pieces

A few random things here...

I have to give props to this awesome blog Bits & Pieces. Seriously, it cracks me up. It's just a bunch of random funny things from the internet. Fun times. Good entertainment.

Also, another thing I found while reading through blogs on my Google Reader was Lush. I'm really just posting this here so that I can remember what it is and to check it out...but I thought I'd share as well!

Lush products are vegan/natural products. I have yet to browse the entire sight. I mostly just looked at the shampoo bars. Yes, that's right, I said bars. I've been reading a few reviews from people who said they thought it would be a bust to use shampoo that looks like a bar of soap, but they were shockingly suprised when the 'volumizing' bar actually worked. Check it out...I maybe have to get some stuff...

Like this one that promotes shiny and bouncy hair...ooh la la!
There are plenty other cosmetics aside from shampoo though. And they are so bright and colorful!

Conspiracies

I found this blog through my Google Reader (oh yeah, did I mention I Google Reader now?! I totally do!). It's actually kind of funny. It has a bunch of odd, bizarre, funny, hilarious posts on it. You should check it out.

Anywho...there was a post on there that I had seen before. It was very interesting. I am one for coincidences, conspiracies, etc if you will.

So, without further ado...

The Lincoln-Kennedy Coincidence

Abraham Lincoln was elected to Congress in 1846.
John F. Kennedy was elected to Congress in 1946.

Abraham Lincoln was elected President in 1860.
John F. Kennedy was elected President in 1960.

Both were particularly concerned with civil rights.
Both wives lost their children while living in the White House.

Both Presidents were shot on a Friday.
Both Presidents were shot in the head

Now it gets really weird.

Lincoln ’s secretary was named Kennedy.
Kennedy’s Secretary was named Lincoln .

Both were assassinated by Southerners.
Both were succeeded by Southerners named Johnson.

Andrew Johnson, who succeeded Lincoln , was born in 1808.
Lyndon Johnson, who succeeded Kennedy, was born in 1908.

John Wilkes Booth, who assassinated Lincoln , was born in 1839.
Lee Harvey Oswald, who assassinated Kennedy, was born in 1939.

Both assassins were known by their three names.
Both names are composed of fifteen letters.

Now hang on to your seat.

Lincoln was shot at the theater named ‘Ford.’
Kennedy was shot in a car called ‘ Lincoln ‘ made by ‘Ford.’

Lincoln was shot in a theater and his assassin ran and hid in a warehouse.
Kennedy was shot from a warehouse and his assassin ran and hid in a theater.

Booth and Oswald were assassinated before their trials.

And here’s the kicker…

A week before Lincoln was shot, he was in Monroe, Maryland.
A week before Kennedy was shot, he was with Marilyn Monroe.

Kind of makes you think...doesn't it?!
