Happy Monday

I'd like to start out by saying...the sun is shining and it is so pleasant outside! I wish ever day were like today.

Well, we had a great weekend. My Saturday felt like it was so busy! I started the day off picking Ava up at 8:00am. We went to the hotel and swapped cars with my Mister and then went back home. Per Ava's request, I straightened her hair. She was such a doll while I was doing it. She would just stare at herself in the mirror and say stuff like, "Oh I look soooo goooood!!!!" with that shriekingly loud giddy girl kind of voice. After that, I took a shower, we ate lunch and then we went out to buy some Mother's Day gifts. Then, we were on our way to babysit, for little Collie Ollie! Which was so much fun, Ava just loved it too. Then we went out to dinner for Mother's Day (a day early, yes). After that I was pooped for the day! I went home and went grocery shopping for something to make the next day for breakfast. It was actually REALLY good! Here it is and if you want the recipe, click HERE.

I took some pics on Saturday, but they are on the computer at home...and well, I'm at work, so ya'll are just going to have to wait until later when I post the pics. Ava's hair looked too cute :-) and I got her to wear a headband with it which looked even cuter! Stay tuned, I will post the pics later or tomorrow morning!

Sunday, was another wonderful day. We got up early and went and had breafast at Ryan's brother/sil's house with his mom and step dad. Afterwards, Ryan and I went to the mall. I had to get my ring inspected and while we were there, I decided to try on some more wedding bands. I'm so confused. I tried this one on

Which was not the original one that I had liked, but they didn't have that one in. I like the double sided bands, but I feel like this one took away from my setting of my diamond on my engagement ring. So we'll just have to see!

The rest of the day was just full of R&R!

Now...I just can't wait for 7:00pm to roll around so I get to go HOME!!!

I hope all of you MOTHERS out there had a fabulous MOTHERS DAY!!!

Unconventional Wisdom

compliments of Hallmark Magazine - May 2008 issue

~If a swallow builds a next on your roof, your home will be protected from fire and storms

~When spiders desert their webs for sheltered crevices, rain is on the way

~The make vegatables grow large, let children plant the seeds

~It's a Welsh supersition that if you tap your head with a stone three times during the season's first thunderstorm, you'll be headache-free for a year

~If you find a hairpin, you will make a new friend

~It's considered good luck to cut your hiar in a storm

~It is considered bad luck to cut your nails on Friday

~If you dream of marigolds in full bloom, wealth is coming to you

Aren't those fun?! I like them and I think they brought a little cheer to my day. And according to my Mister, he is part Welsh...so I guess I could try that, huh?!

It's gloomy out today

And I'm not a huge fan of it.

It makes me wish I wasn't sitting here, at my desk, staring at the computer. I wish I was laying on our couch, with a blanket over me ('cause yes it's a little chilly!), watching some daytime television or even a movie.

Doesn't that sound dreamy?!

Oh well...one can wish, can't they?

Only 4 more hours and then my wishes will come true...

Monsters of the Midway

Does anybody know where the best place to buy Chicago Bears tickets is?

Um...Ryan, if you are reading this, pretend you didn't see it. It's not like it's for your birthday or anything! :-)

Sweeeeet Energy Goodness

FYI...anything that is sugar free, I am a fan of. My reasoning, whether it be right or not is that a) there are little to no calories and b) there is NO SUGAR which is the bad stuff for you anyways!

I LOVE Sugar Free Red Bull. There is this weird calm flavor to it that I just can't get enough of. AND it doesn't make your teeth feel all gross like the regular stuff!

As a matter of fact...I'm drinking it right now!

And P.S. it really does give me energy. Well I wouldn't say gives me energy, but it makes me not feel tired!

I want to...

...GO TO THE ZOO!!! I don't know why, but I have a hankerin' to go there!

It has arrived!

It's here! It's here! My wedding gown is here! Yay!!!

Ryan had my car yesterday and my keys have the mailbox key on them. So we didn't check the mail yesterday. I took Mason out this morning and forgot to check it. I thought about the fact that maybe we missed the mailman yesterday and there could possibly be a slip in our box saying that I could pick up my package at the post office. Well I went down to check and surely enough, that's what was in there!

You can bet your bottom dollar that I got ready a tad bit earlier and went to that post office!

So now my dress is sitting in the back seat of my car. All lonely. Just waiting for someone to come and take it out of it's box and try it on!

I already told my Mister that he'll have to leave me alone for a little bit tonight. Did you think I was going to wait until he wasn't home to try it on?! Pshah!

I wish we had a farm...

...so that we could adopt all the dogs in a shelter. Seriously, it breaks my heart to even think of all the dogs sitting in a shelter. I hate watching that show on Animal Planet where they find dogs and other animals that have been abused or malnourished or whatever else. Uh, I just want to beat the people up that do it to these poor animals.

If you can't tell, I'm a lover of animals, dogs in particular. It would be my DREAM to open up an animal shelter. Of course, the chances of doing that are hard, believe me, I've looked into it! You have to get SO many donations and sponsors and all that, that I'm sure would such a fight to even start. But I can dream, can't I?!

Just thought I'd share one of my hopes and dreams with you all!

The Rug Doctor

So far, we've had a pretty good weekend. I spent a big chunk of yesterday cleaning. I usually clean on Saturdays, but the past two weeks, I have let it slide a bit. I don't like when I do that. Then the house just feels dirty to me! So I did my cleaning and then we rented a Rug Doctor. So much fun! We split the cost with one of the girls I work with that lives two buildings away from us. They just came to pick it up! The rugs feel and look cleaner...of course not new looking, which is what I'd like, but oh well!

Then we headed out to dinner with me mum and Ava! We went to Grandma V's and I had breakfast for dinner! Mmm! All in all, a great day!

P.S. Did you notice how compulsive I am?! I have changed my background twice in the past month?! I think I like this one!!!

Somewhere over the rainbow

Actual rainbow outside our window tonight! Photo compliments of my Mister :-)

We've had really bad weather here today. It was fine in the morning, then downpoured like crazy and stormed really bad. Then it semi cleared up and got windy and then it stormed a bit again! It's been nuts! On my way home from work it was getting a bit dark and yellow-ish looking outside. When I got inside, Ryan spotted a rainbow outside. Isn't it so pretty?!

Hopeful Romantic

I have something to admit. I'm a romantic at heart and very sentimental! I'm not ashamed though. I have been looking up photographers online and browsing their selection of wedding pics and every time there is a sweet, beautiful picture of the bride and groom...I just get flutters in my heart thinking/waiting for our moment of that to come. I was even reading through vows on theknot.com and it litterally almost brings a tear to my eye.

Just thought I'd share!

It's in the mail

I ordered my wedding dress! I can't wait for it to arrive! I use too many exclamation marks! Oh dress, I hope you get here A LOT faster than regular delivery time, pretty please?! Sorry, but I can't go into detail on the dress...the Mister reads this sometimes. I can't tell you how anxious I am to get it, I can hardly wait!!!

So we started playing

In order the make it big and win those millions that we are SO hoping to win, we started playing the lottery. Guess what...WE WON $1!!! It's a start right?!

Why is this so hard

I thought that for our cake topper we would be all modern-and-stuff with our cake topper and get one of those cool monogrammed ones with an M (for my future last name incaseyoudidntknow!). When I presented this idea to my Mister, he said he thought we would have a traditional one with a bride and a groom, that is unless I really wanted a monogrammed cake topper. I, being the nice future-wifey that I am (ha! no I really want him to have a say in things too...it is OUR day) agreed to do the traditional cake topper.

I honesty don't mind at all, I'm glad that we are doing that. Now I am on the search for the perfect bride & groom cake topper and you know what...they all stink! It's like they are all from the 70s or 80s! Are there no 'modernized' traditional wedding cake toppers?! And if there are...can you tell me where they are?!

The thing is we don't really have a 'theme' so to say. My girls dresses are black and the flowers are red. Our favors are heart shaped cookie cutter deals. So I suppose a heart would be our theme? The pic above is cute in an old and gaudy way I guess?! I like simple things and feel like all of these are all too done up.

Be on the look out! Let me know if you see something cute! I have blonde hair and the Mister has blonde-ish/brown hair!

Cute bags

Okay, can I just say....YUMMY!!! These are super cute! Love the print and love the monograms! If you are interested click HERE.
Looks like you could use these for just about anything from a purse to a diaper bag with those cute little side pockets in there!
