Snow makes me nuts...
November 24, 2008
Day 24 of 30: It was beginning to look a lot like Christmas...
When we awoke this morning, Ryan peeked out the window and said it was snowing. I, of course, followed with a, "whaaat?! a lot?!"
He said no and I went about my morning and got into the shower...
Afterwards, I went into the living room and noticed the snow was coming down quite quickly and there was a good coating on the cars in the parking lot.
I have to admit, I am NOT ready for snow to come. I don't think I'm even prepared for winter!
Needless to say, it stopped by about 8:30am, but my ride to work took 10 minutes longer.
Looks like Mr. Winter is really here... I am just waiting for that first big snowfall...I simply can't wait (not the sarcastic tone in my voice if I were really speaking to you!).
**as I am typing the lower part of this post...THE SUN IS OUT!!! YAY!!!
On a cuter note, I found this HERE.
I think I just may have to copy it. Or tweek it and make my own version!
I got out our Christmas decor yesterday. I didn't start putting anything up yet. I had the smallest inkling of putting a few things up, but my Mister is all about waiting until the weekend after Thanksgiving...
looks like I'll be hitting up some stores for new decor...
I also have a really cute idea for the ceiling part of our 'breakfast bar'. I just can't wait!!! I'll post pictures after I start to decorate!

My ode to Candy Corn!
I know it's not a favorite of everyones, but I LOVE me some candy corn!
Actually, I LOVE me A LOT of candy corn! Even though those sugary cones of goodness hurt my teeth after a few, I could eat bags of them!
So, in honor of my sweet friendly treat, here are some fun facts about the candy!
~Did you know that October 30th is National Candy Corn Day?! (I must celebrate this year! ha!)
~1 serving of candy corn contains only 140 calories...very good to know!
~More than 35 million pounds of candy corn will be produced this year!
~The different flavored candy corns do not have a different flavoring, it's just the coloring (hmm...it still tastes different to me!)
So what about you...what is YOUR favorite holiday candy?

Weekend Round Up
I'm gonna warn you right now...
This is a long one!
We had a nice long weekend. It was full of fun, summertime things. I don't know why, but it didn't feel quite like summer until this weekend. The 4th of July just brings back fun summertime memories.
Here are some fun things we did this weekend...
Taste of Chicago
On Friday, the 4th, we went down to the Taste of Chicago. It was so beautiful out, we had a perfect day! We went down with my future brother in laws and their significant others. We met their step sister and her husband down there and another friend and his girlfriend. We ate some yummy food, listened to some good music and had a couple drinks. It was a good day!
Ryan and I took the train down. It was a fun ride. There were mobs of people though. Looks like everyone decided to take public transportation...
Getting off of the train was a wreck! There were just mobs of people not moving. It was horrible. Once we got to the end, there were wide open spaces...come on people!?!
Ryan works with the guy towards the left (the one with the white hat). We took a couple of pictures of him, just in case he wants them. :-)labels - family, fun, holidays, the 4th, weekends with bella and ryan

Fourth of July Haircut
Luckily, we are both off of work today...it's so nice! We've been running errands and getting some stuff done that we had to.
Mason got a haircut today and in honor of the 4th of July, he got a red and white starred hankerchief.
We gave him a little photoshoot when we got home from picking him up.
He looks so tiny now.
