It's my birthday! {by Mason}

Hey guysh - it's me, Mason! Today is my birthday!!!

After I read Kelly's Blog Post (while my mom was in the other room!) I thought this would be perfect for me - especially since it's my birthday!

I'm three years old today and I got a lot of real food at dinner tonight because of it...mmm!

So anyways, here are six random facts about me...

1) I love to take up a lot of space in my mom and dad's bed. When they disrupt my slumber I growl, moan and give a guilt trip then get into my own bed.

2) I love McDonald's french fries - especially late at night!!!

3) I love going to the dog park - it really puts me in my place. I normally think I'm a big mean dog when I'm on the leash, but once I'm off - I'm really a little mama's boy.

4) I love to do things I shouldn't when my parents are gone. Sometimes I jump up on the forbidden red couch and drink coffee that was left out.

5) Don't tell her - but I love my sister Roxy. I loooove to annoy her!!! I stalk her every time that loud vacuum comes out - she tries to hide from it...

6) My mom tries to put sweaters on me - but I usually don't let her. Sometimes I'll humor her. I heard some talk about boots...get me outta here!!!!!

Good night...I think I have a bone hidden somewhere in this couch!

Mason's favorite ornament

Last year we put up this elephant ornament. Mason has since had an obsession with it!

I take that back...he has had an obsession with it since it's been in the closet waiting to come out for it's first Christmas (last year).

Whenever I'd open the closet for something in our 'office' - Mason has stood on his hind legs and begged to the closet. It is the funniest thing I have seen.

I can't say I blame him, she is kinda pretty. Don't you think?!

She even has red glittery heels on. So cute!

Our little boy! ha! He is so funny...he just cracks us up all the time!!!

We find him randomly sitting up staring at Elly (that is what we have named her!) on the tree.

I actually had to move her to my liking on the tree and it is a little bit more out of his sight.

To no avail, he found her!

I think it might be her feathery tutu that attracts him, but we're still undecided on that one...

Bananas, Chocolate and Mason

We've had fruit in the house more often lately, which I love. Bananas have been showing their faces around here quite often as well...which is weird because usually the texture of them makes me gag a little bit, but I've been doing good.

That being said, they seem to go bad so easily! Does that happen to any of you and if so, can you prolong their vibrant yellowness in any particular way?

I had about 4 of them that were a little aged and I wasn't going to try to eat. So placed them in a brown paper bag and set them aside to make banana bread (note...we did not have any vanilla in the house).

I decided that I was in the baking mood last night at about 11:00pm. I opted to make banana muffins rather than bread. They are SO GOOD!

I think I need to get one of those glass cake holders to put stuff in. They make it all look so much better and you can leave it sitting our for decoration.

And then, I MUST tell you about this awesome discovery I found. T. Marzetti's Chocolate Fruit Dip (they make that caramel apple dip)! It is to die for! I bought some yummy ripe strawberries and dipped them right on in. Uh, it is amazing! And even better than making your own chocolate covered strawberries because you don't have to wait for them to dry! You should really try it!
And then Mason just wanted to say hello to you all! :-)

We're off...to do absolutely NOTHING today! I can't wait! I only have 4 days left with my honey. He'll be traveling to California with his band! I hope he does well out there and makes it big so that I don't have to work anymore! ha! It'll be kinda quiet and lonely around here, but I'll find things to make do... Keep him in your prayers next weekend.

Home trimming

I 'attempted' to groom Mason at home today. Attempted being the word at hand. I put him in the bathtub because I know that, in there, he will be semi-still and not run away.

The bathtub has an effect on dogs...well on Mason at least.

We need to take him to the groomer, desperately. With how hot it's been here lately, the thick hair that he has just kills him. He goes on a short walk and he's panting forever.

I kind of like it though, because a short walk tuckers him out!

The cut worked out okay though. I trimmed his face and ears and cut his hair on the top part of his body a little bit shorter. His legs are so hairy though!

You can't see all too much from the pics, but he's cute so that's a bonus?!

Masey Moo!

It's almost Wednesday, which is the middle of the week, which means it's that much closer to the weekend! I was thinking about old pictures I had on the computer of Mason when he was just a little tiny puppy! He was so cute. He actually looked like a little guinea pig when I first got him. I think he was about 2 months old!!! So cute! So then I decided to do a post with all the pics of him growing up. I wish he could shrink back down to that! Is that bad to say?! It just makes me want a puppy so much more. I feel like I don't even remember when he was a little puppy.
Forgive my hair in this pic! It's so dark! Isn't he so cute?!
So tiny!

That bed is sooo small!

Playing with his uncle (ha ha!)

In a sweater I'm sure he hated!

Wow, you'd think that he really liked the camera...so not true! He usually turns his head right when I go to snap the picture!

Mason got a haircut

BEFORE (long hair...this pic doesn't do him justice...he looked like a hippy!)

AFTER (above and below)

He doesn't look too happy, huh?! Well, he got dropped off at the groomer's (Shear Paradise Pet Salon & Spa) yesterday morning. The gal had to basically grab him to make him go back because he was hiding behind his mommy's legs! He is such a momma's boy! But I LOVE that place because instead of keeping the dogs in cages before and after their haircuts, they just let them stay out on the floor and play with eachother. So it's like a doggy day care for the day too! He got to play with all of the other doggies. He, however, wasn't anymore tired or worn out at night...still wanted to play! He smells better than the dirty dog smell, but the baby powder smell that he has now...ughgh...it kind of makes me sick when I smell it too much! His daddy picked him up and he had a cute little bandana on him...I had to take it off...it was bothering me!
TGIF!!! IT'S THE WEEKEND!!!!
