Registered!

We were both off of work today...kind of an extended holiday weekend! It was OH SO nice (aside from my tooth still bothering me), but that's another story.

We went to TARGET to set up our bridal registry. It was so much fun! It was kind of hard though...that's weird, right?! We just scanned stuff we wanted/needed. Why get something we don't want or need.

I won't post the link yet (here or on the wedding website) because we aren't quite finished. We didn't even really put a dent in it. I think we did a once around the store and didn't feel like going back. Well, we have plenty of time for that and we can add stuff on from the internet, so that's a bonus...especially when I get bored at work! ha!

Here we are...on our way out...

This is the little welcome kit that TARGET gave us once we set up our registry. There are actually some useful and cute things in there. They gave us a little square tear-off stack of little notes that say THE HAPPY COUPLE IS REGISTERED AT TARGET to put in invitations and whatnot. There is a checklist of essential things to put on your registry and an invitation that TARGET makes...it says they are at a lovely price...so I'm going to have to check that out! AND the best part?!?!...we get a FREE six inch mini wedding cake as a 'sample'! How 'bout that?!

He was a maniac with that gun! ha!

I just liked to aim and shoot!

No...we didn't really put that on our registry...or did we?!

I'm a natural...right?!

That gun was smokin'!

And as an added bonus while parousing around TARGET...we got this cool chair for the office (i.e. the video game/computer/guest room). I have always wanted one and I don't even play video games that often. I just thought it would be comfortable to read on and I like to sit on the floor...so this is kind of like that but more comfortable...and it rocks!
I just love those end aisles in the back where the discount home stuff is. We got 4 new bath towels and 2 hand towels for a total of $15! Isn't that just great?!
That was the extent of our day...now we are just relaxing and I have to go back to work tomorrow...oh I have when long weekends have to end! My mister gets to stay home for the rest of the week...isn't he lucky?!

Breakfast and Flea Market

Well, today was a good day! My tooth is still sore from having more work done on it and it's driving me crazy!!!

We went out to breakfast this morning at Grandma V's and then just relaxed all day, along with putting together our wedding website.

I went over to Jessica's to see her new house...I love it!

Then we went to the fairgrounds. They were having an overnight antique flea market. My brother and sister-in-law have found some neat stuff there and I was hoping to find some fun things to start decorating around here. I was praying that I would find something that I liked. As we were looking around, I felt like I was being picky and was going to end up going home with nothing.

Then I came across this...

And it was only $1! So I thought...why the heck not?! I want to paint it black maybe and then figure out where to hang it and what to put in it and/or around it.

Two minutes later....I found this! I LOVE it!!! We were talking about getting something similar but with storage to put our blankets in. This'll do though! I am going to paint it black to match the other furniture in our living room. I also want to either find or make a cusion to put on top of it. It's pretty much what I was looking for! Yay!!! :-)

This is the 'whole' picture as to where it would be going and why it needs to be painted...can you say 'eyesore' right now?!

Roxy was exploring the bench when I got home. She was sniffing it out and slowly creeping around it.

This was my last and final purchase (I ran out of money...but to my advantage I didn't bring that much). It's so summery looking and cute! I've been keeping my eye out for a shoulder bag that I didn't have to carry! Found it!
I guess it paid off to go to the flea market. I love it there! It would be much better to see if we went to one of the ones that is during the day. I'm going to have to hit that place up some more. We didn't even end up looking at all of the stuff they had there.
Total spent...$31.00! Not too shabby!

Yummy Shoes

In my quest to find the perfect wedding day shoes, I came across THIS website. Me likey!

It has millions of pages of shoes for reasonable prices (i.e. $15.77 and $17.99...like the ones below!).

There are also clothes, but I didn't look through those...

It is a 'clubbing' website...but hey, the shoes are so cute!

These are super cute! And how 'bout those wedges?!

Dips, brownies and babies

Whew! It's only Saturday night and it's already been an eventful weekend! Last night, we had our usual PIZZA FRIDAY! Then we went grocery shopping for some of the fun stuff we were going to make this weekend. I did some cleaning and then made a homemade spinach and artichoke dip for today. Two of the girlfriends came over to just hang out and have an appetizer day. This morning, Ava (the little niecey) came over at eight o'clock in the mornin'. We made some brownies and then the girls came over. One of my friends has a little girl who is a little over 1 year old (she is SO darn cute!). We just hung out and it was really a great day! Now...I'm just blogging :-) and watching a Lifetime movie. The Mister had a show tonight. I was just so exhausted after today that I had no energy to socialize (ha!). I am getting good at remembering to take pictures. I have always wanted to have more pictures but never remembered to take any...so I'm trying to be aware!

Hope your weekend is great so far!

These are my ingredients for the SPINACH AND ARTICHOKE DIP. I don't like when recipes have too many ingredients (I don't know why, it's weird, I know, but it just bothers/annoys me :-). This recipe is really very simple. For the recipe click here.
This is the finished product. I forgot to take a picture of it while it was heated in the crockpot...mmm...SO deliscious! Seriously, it was even better than getting it at a restaurant, so fresh! We also had bread with spinach dip and a veggie tray and some brownies (can't forget the chocolate!).

As I had mentioned before, we made some brownies this morning. I, being the good aunt that I am, had to let Ava lick the beaters...

...and lick the bowl! We were all kids once and remember that being the BEST part! I still like doing it today!

This is the finished product. Aren't they so cute! I found these little heart shaped tins, so we decided to make individual brownies.

This picture didn't really turn out too well, which brings me to another subject...we need a new camera!
I think Mason was kind of bored today. I caught him not caring much here, just laying there, probably wishing that a) someone would just give him some scraps or b) he wishes everyone would leave so he could have some peace and quiet. Although, he was all tuckered out after they all left!

Oh and p.s. I did gather up the energy to go out and do some shopping tonight. When I got there, I asked myself what the heck I was doing?! The mall was SO crowded and it was just very unpleasant and stinky in there. Oh well, I got some cute shirts :-)

Here comes Santa Clause, here comes Santa Clause...

Well, we STARTED our Christmas shopping last night. Yes, you heard it folks, we just started. I know this may seem unusual to those of you who know me. I am a neat freak, ocd obsessed, organized kinda person and I JUST started Christmas shopping last night! Goods news is...we finished ALL but 2 gifts, which we will have to go out on Friday night to get (the mere thought of that makes my head spin because we all know that it will be horribly crazy out with all the last minute shoppers). I feel like there are more sales as you shop closer to Christmas rather than earlier. Oh it was horrible though...shopping for Christmas always stresses me out. I always want to get everyone the PERFECT gift and then I question myself as to if it is the PERFECT gift. Mister R and myself have decided that next year, we are going to try to do family gifts instead of each person gets something. And I thought that my family needs to start picking names...at least us younger ones...so we don't have to get every aunt and every uncle and every cousin a present (no offense, it just makes it harder). Well, that's all...just thought I'd write...I'm still having trouble thinking of subjects to post on.
P.S. This Just In...Britney Spears sister (Jamie~Lynn for those of you who aren't celeb gossip addicts quite like myself) is PREGGERS!!! And to think Lynn (the mom) is writing a parenting book!
